I fluctuate between agnosticism and new age-ism fairly often. Right now, I’m wondering about my life, new age style.

If you believe in reincarnation, as I am sometimes wont to do, given certain coincidences that seem to be MORE than just random occurance, then you’re familiar with the idea of each lifetime you get having an enlightenment or an overarching lesson leading to betterment for the NEXT life.

The earth I tread on is not a dead inert mass. It is a body—has a spirit—is organic—and fluid to the influence of its spirit—and to whatever particle of the spirit is in me.

I try. My moon makes it hard, but my Leo Rising and my Sadge Sun try to turn bad things into beautiful lessons or opportunities. It doesn’t always work, but yeah, it’s a natural inclination.

Religion is for people who are afraid to go to hell and spirituality is for people who’ve already been there.
~ quote from Lance Henriksen in his biography, “Not Bad for a Human” (don’t think he’s the original source, but I couldn’t find one.)

unapologetically-black:

Time to refocus and recenter.

Chakras (pronounce “chuk-ruh” or “shok-ra,” but I believe the former is the most correct) are the seven vital energy centers, and each chakra controls specific emotions and functions of the mind, body and spirit. The three are connected and each affects the other.

Each Chakra has a specific sound/vibration, mantra, mudra, color, function, power, & purpose.

A soul connection is a resonance between two people who respond to the essential beauty of each other’s individual natures, behind their facades, and who connect on this deeper level. This kind of mutual recognition provides the catalyst for a potent alchemy. It is a sacred alliance whose purpose is to help both partners discover and realize their deepest potentials. While a heart connection lets us appreciate those we love just as they are, a soul connection opens up a further dimension — seeing and loving them for who they could be, and for who we could become under their influence. This means recognizing that we both have an important part to play in helping each other become more fully who we are….A soul connection not only inspires us to expand, but also forces us to confront whatever stands in the way of that expansion.
