The misconception about us introverts is that we are only exaggerating our quiet natures… that all it takes is some prodding and we’ll be just as outgoing as your common extrovert. Not so. I can only take so much of being out in the public. It’s exhausting. Another misconception that’s a bit agonizing is that we are unable to express ourselves vocally. Nope. I can speak well… I just don’t LIKE doing it. I am an observer. I am more comfortable out of the glare of the limelight. I enjoy being known and appreciated, but I don’t like being put on the spot. I don’t really know how better to explain that.
